CKB Interiors are an exciting and vibrant brand selling furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories. Founded in 2011, CKB Interiors has come a long way from its beginnings in a small warehouse. They now serve customers throughout the UK, Western Europe, and West Africa.
They approached Underline because they were looking for high levels of attention to detail and quality. We were asked to develop a system that will allow users to shortlist, purchase or request pricing for products via the website. It should also have a separate pricing strategy for retail and registered trade customers.

We focused on transforming CKB Interior’s SEO strategy and implementing designs that reassured visitors throughout the conversion funnel. This resulted in large improvements to both organic keyword positions and the online conversion rate.

Our Approach
We initiated the development stage with UX & UI Analysis. Our primary goal throughout the UX phase was to design a customer experience that required a minimal level of thought from the user. Everything visible had to have a purpose and needed to be user experience oriented.

As with all of our websites, the CKB website codebase has been produced to be highly semantic and in line with SEO best practices.

Fully content managed
CKB’s internal marketing team have been enabled to update content, text, imagery, layouts and menus with their WordPress CMS.

Different Prices for Different Users
Tier-based accounts enabled Crown Kitchens to target both the retail and the trade market. Following a simple online application their customers are assigned a relevant tier, which shows corresponding prices.

Langauge & Currency
Multilingual and Multi-currency options to accommodate their overseas trade customers.

Mobile Optimised
The analytics of the old website highlighted that a high proportion of their visitors use mobile devices so the touch aesthetic was one of our key considerations.
