Muhit & Co are an accountancy practice based in Whitechapel, London specialising in providing corporate tax services and tax advice for individuals and businesses. Muhit & Co pride themselves on delivering a friendly, responsive and personal level of service to their clients for the past 20+ years.
Muhit & Co had an existing site, but it wasn’t for for purpose. With very little conversions and engagement the site felt antiquated and impersonal. They approached Underline to rebuild their website that better reflected their unique values and appealed to a wider, modern audiences.
Through a condensed requirements-gathering workshop we started the project with the discovery phase. Information architecture and key goals were determined; 301 strategy introduced followed by Mood-boards and Low-fidelity wireframes.
Front-end development ran in parallel to get the visual designs into the browser as quickly as possible allowing the key stakeholders to see how the new website would actually look and function on screen.

Underline built a responsive website that plays on the company strap-line of ‘Modern accountants, traditional values’. The design provides viewers with key information early in the page design hierarchy, and a traditional menu bar navigation allows users to quickly move around the site whether browsing on a desktop, tablet or mobile device.

The best accounting firm website design focuses on mobile responsiveness. One of the most impactful improvements we determined to be essential in the new website design for this financial services firm was creating a fully responsive website design so that Muhit & Co could reach a changing and more youth-driven audience. The responsive website design enables users to access and experience the complete website from any device, whether it be a desktop or laptop computer, or a tablet or mobile phone.
A key consideration for the launch of the new Muhit & Co website was SEO. Increasing search visibility in Google and improving rankings for key search terms is the first step in increasing online conversions, so we undertook a detailed SEO review of the website and built a strategy from the ground-up. Because we were building a website which already had a web presence (whatever little it may be), we had to start with an extensively planned 301 strategy and site architecture. Optimising all the exiting and new contents with industry keywords and defining the appropriate schema we managed to build something that allowed the site to reach to page 1 within weeks of the site’s launch.
