Your Website Is Part of Your Team
Imagine, just imagine you hired a new salesperson named Martin for your company. Here are a few things you should know about Martin
Martin works all day & all night, throughout the year, no Christmas break, no hangover sick days. He works 24/7, 365 days a year. His only purpose in life is to talk to your customers and promote your business. He doesn’t eat, he doesn’t sleep.
Martin is the perfect salesman. He knows everything about your company and can pitch it perfectly every time. A quick learner, in fact, a very quick learner, you tell him something once and he will have that in his grasp.
Martin can speak to a number of people at the same time and still give them individual attention. He can be anywhere, multiple locations at any given time when needed. And the best bit, his travel doesn’t appear on your expense report.
Now, let’s talk about money. Martin is cheap. I mean dirt cheap. Let’s assume your company pays Martin £10k a year. And the longer he works for you the cheaper he gets! And he never complains and wouldn’t dream about quitting!
Martin would be better off working at your local Costcutter for minimum wage, instead he his bursting his backside working for you day and night for £1.14 an hour! Yet he stands by you and works tirelessly around the clock for just one cause: your cause.
Well here’s another breakthrough, Martin has no feelings, he is not a real person. He is a website. He is your website.
Now go and find an actual person that will work that perfectly for you. Or try reducing the pay for your best employee to £1.14 an hour and see if they stick around. Good luck! Yet, you will see people ask why are you charging thousands when someone else asked for £400! I mean the question itself will probably tell you a lot!
